Waste Management Belfast
Throughout the UK, waste management is a serious and carefully monitored and regulated process for any business – no matter what its size or sector – and this is certainly true in Belfast. For example, the Northern Ireland Environment Agency introduced legislation in 2016 mandating that all businesses that generate more than 50kg of food waste must have a food waste collection.
Business Waste Belfast offers a one stop solution for all waste management, including regular collection and disposal, and robust recycling commitment. We can collect from anywhere in Belfast – though our services are focused on business waste and we don’t handle any household waste.
Competitively priced, we also offer businesses reliability and thoroughness, carrying out regular waste collections seamlessly with minimum disruption and no residual mess. As well as reliable waste management and collections through Belfast, we offer Belfast businesses waste audits and skip hire. Call 0800 211 8390 or contact us online for a free quote today.

Belfast
One of Europe’s most compact and friendly cities, Belfast marries its strong maritime history and its superb Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture, for a thriving and ambitious modern economy.
Hosting in excess of 9,000 registered businesses, Belfast accounts for 13% of North Ireland’s commercial sector. This includes 25% of the country’s agricultural enterprises. Its most famous export of course is beautiful Irish linen.
Tourism is also big business in Belfast. The city attracts in excess of 4m visitors each year, and this supports over 17,300 tourism jobs. Fast becoming one of Europe’s most popular short break destinations, Belfast is cashing in on its rising popularity by building its reputation as a conference and event location. This means it’s increasingly hosting national and international events and festivals.
Trust
Business Waste
All of this activity is taking Belfast a million miles away from its negative media profile of past decades. There is an increasing appreciation instead for its array of pubs and churches, Belfast’s fascinating seaport where the iconic Titanic exhibition is located, and its excellent university and busy shopping areas.
Visitors are also drawn to Belfast’s award-winning Irish Linen museum, located in Lisburn’s oldest building, the 17th century Market House. Belfast’s rich heritage in the production of fine crystal items is also a source of fascination and international shoppers.
With such vibrant industry, commerce and tourism activity, comes rising levels of waste. Local authorities, regulatory bodies and business leaders are all committed to policies which protect beautiful Belfast’s environmental integrity. But this comes at a cost to businesses, and it causes a constant headache.
This is where Business Waste Belfast comes in – providing organisations of all shapes and sizes with efficient and effective waste disposal and recycling services to keep them on track.

- ISO 14001: 2015 – Environmental management systems

-
What is ISO certification and why is it important?
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental group that uses experts to set global standards for providing innovation and solutions to worldwide challenges. ISO certification confirms a management system, manufacturing process, service, or documentation procedure meets the requirements for standardisation and quality assurance.
ISO certification is provided by a third party – in our case Alcumus ISOQAR, which provides UKAS accredited ISO certification. The standards provide benchmarks for businesses to meet, ensuring achieving ISO certification demonstrates a well-run, stable business that’s ready to grow. There are more than 20,000 management standards, but the two we’ve achieved provide the following benefits:
- ISO 9001: 2015 – helps put our customers first.
- ISO 14001: 2015 – reduces our environmental impact.
