Waste Collection
Lincolnshire
Business Waste knows better than most that waste collections can involve picking up items of many different shapes and sizes, and substances which can be hazardous in their nature. For this reason, our team is prepared for collections of many types, from regular collections for the wheelie bins and front end loader bins we provide you with, to special case scenarios which require the fast removal and disposal of a large amount of waste.
Waste Disposal
Lincolnshire
We are here to ensure companies in Lincoln, whatever their size, are not left lagging behind when it comes to recycling. While there are recycling centres such as the ones in Grantham, Boston and Lincoln, we all know that arranging the means and manpower to transport waste can be time consuming and expensive, so allow us to take the weight off your shoulders. Absolutely zero of the waste which we recycle goes into landfill, meaning you can rely on Business Waste to keep your company adhering to a responsible waste management policy. We are accustomed to recycling all kinds of materials, including metal, cardboard and plastic, and can handle mixed trade waste loads. We also offer a free consultancy on all elements of trade recycling, so if you have any questions, do get in touch.
Recycling
Lincolnshire
While Lincolnshire might not be one of the most high-profile counties in the UK – tucked in between Norfolk and Leicestershire on the east coast – it is certainly one of the most beautiful.
Blessed with large, sprawling stretches of countryside, it’s home to many different stately homes and historical points of interest such as Tattershall Castle, Thornton Abbey, Normanby Hall, Boston Stump and Belton House. Despite a population of over 700,000, it actually has very little urban areas for a county of its size, the exception being the city of Lincoln, and large towns such as Grantham, a major rail interchange.
The county is noted for several food products native to it, including Lincolnshire sausages and pork pies, both of which can be found in butchers throughout the area. Such is the pride taken by butchers in their production of these two specialities that they are very guarded when it comes to revealing their recipes.
Trust
Business Waste
There are still steps that need to be taken to improve recycling and waste disposal in the county, but this is where Business Waste comes in, leading the way for eco-friendly waste services for Lincolnshire businesses, be they hospitality, retail or financial. Lincolnshire has the chance to set an example when it comes to making the right waste management choices.

Got a
Question?
-
Can I add an additional bin to my service?
Yes, of course. We can provide extra bins for new waste streams to encourage recycling. Or if you’re simply producing more waste of the same type, we can add an extra or larger bin to your delivery and collection services if you’re at capacity.
-
Do you supply a duty of care certificate?
Yes, we provide a duty of care certificate (also known as a waste transfer note (WTN)) free of charge as part of your service agreement. This is included for free every time we collect any type of waste from your premises. Duty of care certificates are a legal requirement and licensed waste carriers can complete them for free – so you should never be charged for one.
Find out more about them in our guide to waste transfer notes.
-
How often will my bin be emptied?
We offer our customers a choice of daily, weekly, or fortnightly collections – so your bins are emptied as often as you want. Our expert team can advise on the correct waste collection schedule based on the type and amount of waste you produce and your business needs – such as your bin storage space and location.
-
What time will my bin be collected?
Bin collection times vary depending on your location, waste type, number and size of bins, and other factors. We work with all our customers to ensure your waste is always collected on time when it’s suitable for you and the licensed waste carrier. We can work around access times to arrange collections at convenient times.
-
What type of wheelie bins are available?
A range of two and four-wheel bins are available to store all sorts of waste on your premises. Explore our bins to see all available bins and information about what types and amounts of waste they can hold.
For any questions and answers about wheelie bin weight limits, sizes, locks, and anything else – read our bin FAQ guide.
-
How can we reduce our waste?
There are many ways to reduce the amount of waste we produce as individuals and businesses. A waste audit can highlight where you’re producing lots of waste as a starting place to cut down. Simple steps to reduce waste include efficient purchasing, buying reusable products, and recycling as much as possible. For more tips, read our guide about how to reduce waste.
If you have specific questions about reducing a certain type of waste, find the relevant page in Your Waste.

Is Business Waste ISO certified?
Yes, Business Waste has received Alcumus ISOQAR certification for:
- ISO 9001: 2015 – Quality management systems
- ISO 14001: 2015 – Environmental management systems
These are both in the scope of registration for the provision of waste management brokerage.
-
What is ISO certification and why is it important?
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental group that uses experts to set global standards for providing innovation and solutions to worldwide challenges. ISO certification confirms a management system, manufacturing process, service, or documentation procedure meets the requirements for standardisation and quality assurance.
ISO certification is provided by a third party – in our case Alcumus ISOQAR, which provides UKAS accredited ISO certification. The standards provide benchmarks for businesses to meet, ensuring achieving ISO certification demonstrates a well-run, stable business that’s ready to grow. There are more than 20,000 management standards, but the two we’ve achieved provide the following benefits:
- ISO 9001: 2015 – helps put our customers first.
- ISO 14001: 2015 – reduces our environmental impact.
