Waste Disposal
Surrey
This is where Business Waste can assist your business needs. Being a leading market competitor in recycling and waste disposal, we understand your area and how to best serve your business. As one of the greenest home counties, Surrey boasts a great amount of green space and glorious woodland. However, navigating the tricky roads has never been high on the list of Surrey commuters desires, which is where Business Waste comes in to do it for you. We handle all areas of waste management from collection to disposal at one of our many UK centres, leaving you to focus on what is important, running your business. In addition, Business Waste attempts to provide the service in the most ethical way possible, aiming for 0% landfill. We also cover all different types of recycling, from glass and cardboard to clinical and industrial waste. Whatever your requirements we can be of service.
Recycling
Surrey
As a local business in Surrey, you will know the road network and connections can be extremely difficult to navigate. The A3, often dubbed the cruel mistress, is one of the busiest A-roads in the land. If it is not a build up of traffic through the Tolworth Bypass, you could find yourself in endless gridlock coming through Guildford, the county town. On the other side of the coin, Surrey is one of the most affluent home counties and boasts some of the most picturesque and beautiful villages and towns in the South of England. Home to big names in business such as Ann Summers in Purley and Krispy Kreme in Camberley, Surrey is certainly the perfect place for business to thrive. However, picture-postcard settings come with a price and it is imperative for local business owners in this great county to ensure high standards of waste disposal and recycling are met. Not only are there large fines throughout a majority of Surrey borough’s for inadequate waste disposal, there is the moral obligation to keep this proud part of England’s commuter-belt green, leafy and ultimately clean.

Got a
Question?
-
Can I add an additional bin to my service?
Yes, of course. We can provide extra bins for new waste streams to encourage recycling. Or if you’re simply producing more waste of the same type, we can add an extra or larger bin to your delivery and collection services if you’re at capacity.
-
Do you supply a duty of care certificate?
Yes, we provide a duty of care certificate (also known as a waste transfer note (WTN)) free of charge as part of your service agreement. This is included for free every time we collect any type of waste from your premises. Duty of care certificates are a legal requirement and licensed waste carriers can complete them for free – so you should never be charged for one.
Find out more about them in our guide to waste transfer notes.
-
How often will my bin be emptied?
We offer our customers a choice of daily, weekly, or fortnightly collections – so your bins are emptied as often as you want. Our expert team can advise on the correct waste collection schedule based on the type and amount of waste you produce and your business needs – such as your bin storage space and location.
-
What time will my bin be collected?
Bin collection times vary depending on your location, waste type, number and size of bins, and other factors. We work with all our customers to ensure your waste is always collected on time when it’s suitable for you and the licensed waste carrier. We can work around access times to arrange collections at convenient times.
-
What type of wheelie bins are available?
A range of two and four-wheel bins are available to store all sorts of waste on your premises. Explore our bins to see all available bins and information about what types and amounts of waste they can hold.
For any questions and answers about wheelie bin weight limits, sizes, locks, and anything else – read our bin FAQ guide.
-
How can we reduce our waste?
There are many ways to reduce the amount of waste we produce as individuals and businesses. A waste audit can highlight where you’re producing lots of waste as a starting place to cut down. Simple steps to reduce waste include efficient purchasing, buying reusable products, and recycling as much as possible. For more tips, read our guide about how to reduce waste.
If you have specific questions about reducing a certain type of waste, find the relevant page in Your Waste.

Is Business Waste ISO certified?
Yes, Business Waste has received Alcumus ISOQAR certification for:
- ISO 9001: 2015 – Quality management systems
- ISO 14001: 2015 – Environmental management systems
These are both in the scope of registration for the provision of waste management brokerage.
-
What is ISO certification and why is it important?
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental group that uses experts to set global standards for providing innovation and solutions to worldwide challenges. ISO certification confirms a management system, manufacturing process, service, or documentation procedure meets the requirements for standardisation and quality assurance.
ISO certification is provided by a third party – in our case Alcumus ISOQAR, which provides UKAS accredited ISO certification. The standards provide benchmarks for businesses to meet, ensuring achieving ISO certification demonstrates a well-run, stable business that’s ready to grow. There are more than 20,000 management standards, but the two we’ve achieved provide the following benefits:
- ISO 9001: 2015 – helps put our customers first.
- ISO 14001: 2015 – reduces our environmental impact.
